Meet the Maxim team – Kathryn Brown

Kathryn Brown

Kathryn Brown joined the Maxim team in August and has already made a positive impact on life at the park. Find out more about our Facilities Co-ordinator and what she enjoys about working at Maxim.

Please tell us about the role you play within the Maxim team
As Facilities Co-ordinator in the Management Office based in Maxim 3, my role is to help Maxim Park run smoothly and assist the Park Director. I can be taking meter readings, dealing with utilities, contractors and all sorts of other types of requests. My working day is very varied and that is what I love about the job. One minute I can be helping a new tenant with fit out arrangements and the next assisting with a fire drill at the nursery!

What do you enjoy most about your role at Maxim?
I really enjoy working with the team in the Management Office and assisting tenants with whatever they need. Every day is different.

What makes Maxim a special place to work?
Maxim is a beautiful place to work. It is great seeing the wildlife and nature as you walk around the site.

What has been your most memorable day whilst working at Maxim?
I really enjoyed the Return of the Max event in August. It was lovely to see people out and about again after restrictions were eased.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself
I was once on a well-known Scottish comedian’s TV show. I really hope the footage is lost forever in the archives!

What keeps you busy when you’re not working at Maxim?
I like to watch films, especially Marvel ones, and go to the cinema now that they are open again. I recently bought a gravel bike to get fit!

What have you enjoyed most as the Covid restrictions start to lift?
Just having more freedom and being able to visit family again. We have lots of birthdays to catch up on.

Tell us something about Maxim that we may not know?
Did you know we have over 50 fish in our ponds and a resident heron? You can see his photo on the Wildlife Group in the Maxim Office App.
