Getting to Know – Caroline McCreadie

Caroline McCreadie is Study Director at Sartorius, the life sciences firm which recently relocated to Maxim Park. We caught up with Caroline to find out how she is enjoying working at Maxim and her life outside of the workplace.

Caroline, please tell us about your new offices at Maxim
We moved into Maxim 3 only 4 months ago. I really like the close proximity to all the shops and amenities and I have a lovely view out of my window of the pond. I love our new facility – it is state of the art.

What has been your most memorable day so far working here?
It would have to be the day we moved in. We had come from a much smaller site and it was so lovely to have a purpose built facility and a bright airy space for our office.

What did you miss about office life during the Covid lockdowns?
We were at our previous site during the lockdowns but I really missed company. Working at home trying to home school an 8-year-old and keep a toddler amused was not fun!

Do you work permanently on site at Maxim?
I tend to work 1 day a week at home when the lab schedule allows it.

When you’re not at work what do you like to do?
I enjoy spending time with my family going to the beach or other day trips. I love going to the cinema or out with friends.

Which three famous people would you invite to dinner?

· Stephen Fry – I love QI and have read his books and hope some of his genius would rub off on me!

· Lady Gaga – I would hope she would sing a few songs for my daughter and I

· Freddie Mercury – I would have loved to have seen Queen live as they are one of my favourite bands

Describe your dream holiday
Anywhere hot and sunny with a pool at a hotel where I don’t need to cook or do dishes – maybe back to the Maldives where I had my honeymoon.
